Ajax Hackathon x Team Rockstars

CTRL the Game. 100 developers and engineers. 1 day. 1 challenge with real value. Team Rockstars IT gets exclusive access to Ajax player tracking data from Eredivisie matches at the Johan Cruijff ArenA.

Event Overview

The Eredivisie is stepping up a gear. During matches, 12 body points of all 22 players and the ball are be tracked live with high-tech cameras in the Johan Cruijff ArenA. The result is a wealth of raw data that needs to be turned into impact.

During this 12-hour Hackathon you get access to the full tracking data from one Eredivisie match. The challenge is to build something that extracts next-level value from that data: visualizations, analyses, innovations, maybe even 3D.

Who Is This For

Front-enders, back-enders, data engineers, software developers, architects, 3D wizards, and everything in between. Whether you're a Data Engineer, Cloud/DevOps Engineer, .NET, Java, or Full Stack Developer, or a Software/Data Architect, this hackathon is for you.

How It Works

• Teams of 6-8 people, multidisciplinary
• Support from technical coaches and the Ajax data team
• 12 hours to build and deliver
• You'll be hacking in the Glasgow '72 Lounge, with a view over the pitch

Hackathon Awards

Two winners will be chosen during the Hackathon. Ajax selects the solution with the most business impact, the innovation that improves processes, boosts performance, and directly contributes to their goals. Team Rockstars IT selects the winner that best embodies the HOERA core values (Hartelijk, Open, Energiek, Rebels, Ambitieus) in both the building process and the final solution.

Parent & Child Program

Families are welcome. From 08:00 to 12:00, a dedicated program runs alongside the Hackathon in and around the Johan Cruijff ArenA, featuring football games and mini-challenges for all ages, a creative kids corner for the little ones, an ArenA discovery tour from stands to tunnel, and a visit to the hackers at work.

Practical Information

Lunch, drinks, and all snacks throughout the day are included. Dietary requirements can be indicated during registration.
